I have always like the Maryland and Pennsylvania Railroad for it S curves, numerous trestles, and its predominantly rural right of way. The Northern Maryland, like the Ma and Pa also, uses S curves, cuts, and trestles along its right of way. Module 1, the “Beckleysville South switch”, has both an S curve and a trestle over a stream.

Ma and Pa’s Orson Run trestle served as an inspiration for the trestle on Module 1. Graham and I visited the trestle back in 2011 to take photographs and measurements.

The last item on Module one is the South wye switch. The switch will be a stub switch. I wanted to model a stub switch to remind me of the ones I have seen on the East Broad Top.

LOOKING GOOD!
